Quality Childminding in Cornwall (QCC) network

Are you a registered childminder in Cornwall?

Would you like a local childminder mentor to answer your queries, keep you up to date with news and create opportunities for you to meet up with other childminders?

In addition to the support from the Early Years Support Assistant and Family Information Service (FIS), you can join the Quality Childminding in Cornwall network. The QCC network aims to promote quality and develop the provision of 30 hours funded care in the county.

We will link you one of our 6 locality mentors, each a practising Outstanding childminder, who will be able to answer any questions you have and arrange for you to meet up with other childminders locally.

Members receive a discount on training courses in the Cornwall Council Early Years Foundation Stage training directory, a termly newsletter and access to a closed Facebook page.

There is no charge to join but as part of our aim to promote quality we ask you to complete the SEND Local Offer information on your FIS profile and to complete a minimum of 20 hours continuing professional development each year. See the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) example form on the right for more details.

You can contact Early Years Childcare Support Assistant Mary Ann for further information or complete the membership application form on the right and email it to earlyeducationtraining@cornwall.gov.uk (or post it to the address provided at the bottom of the form).

Childminders entered into this scheme will have this badge added to their Support in Cornwall profile.
